Located on 385 Beach 45th St. in Far Rockaway, the Edgemere Farm is a market garden for new and experienced farmers. Many local business such as Goody’s, Uma’s and Claudette’s have plots here, growing their produce locally. I’ve been hearing great things about the dinner nights at the Edgemere Farm. Glendale CSA – Farm Share Program

We recently learned that there’s a farm share organization close by – Glendale Community Supported Agriculture. It started in 2010 partnering with Garden of Eve Organic Farm in Riverhead, NY. Together, they provide Queens residents with 24 weeks of farm fresh veggies, fruits, flowers, eggs, monthly meat shares and bi-weekly cheese shares.
