Grams of the Week – March 13

Here’s a recap of the best instagrams of last week. If you want the day to day follow me here! Home is feeling like home these days. I know, I know, I need to post a house update. Forgive me. My cat Cookie above investigating a new portable console Matt just got this week. She’s just the cutest furball ever! Potatoes in moderation is my motto – especially since summer is around the corner. This week I splurged and made a loaded one because I was craving!

Here’s a recap of the best instagrams of last week. If you want the day to day follow me here! This weather right? I’ve been feeling spring-like, adding fresh cut flowers around the house. Speaking of the house, I haven’t updated on the renovation in a while. My kitchen is so close to being complete and it looks gorgeous. I’ve seen the plans and the drawing but seeing the almost finished product.. I can’t even! I cooked with Chicks to Go this Friday! I learned so much and had a wonderful time […]

Here’s a recap of the best instagrams of last week. If you want the day to day follow me here! Matt surprised me with this elegant arrangement by SOLIDGOLDOK. Ellie, the owner was selling her bouquets at Zingara Vintage‘s Valentine’s Day sale on Saturday. You’re going to hear a lot more about Ellie and her creations… My friend Melissa invited me over last Thursday for her delicious vegetarian lasagna. It was so good. One night this week I’m going to try and replicate it for dinner. Yum! I’m cat-sitting my housemates fur ball, Mango! […]

Here’s a recap of the best instagrams of last week. If you want the day to day follow me here! I was thinking about starting a cutting board business. There’s so much scrap wood lying around in my basement from the house renovation, it’s just a matter of labor. Above is a picture of some boards clamped up – these will be the prototype. Wanna buy one?! There are beautiful things around everywhere if you take a pause to look for them. I spotted these shells on my way to the YMCA this week. […]

Here’s a recap of the best instagrams of last week. If you want the day to day follow me here! I missed a few weeks with this but I’m back on track! I spent a little time in Ridgewood this week at the old apartment, so many memories, so many times. The Forms played their first show in 20 years (yes 20) on Long Island! Obviously I was very excited. The venue Comiskey Park was different than the bars in the city and it was refreshing. I felt like I as in Omaha […]

Grams of the Week – Dec 27

Here’s a recap of the best instagrams of last week. If you want the day to day follow me here! Days before Christmas my favorite holiday, Gothamist wrote about the community cats I take care of, what a gift! Read it here and please spread the word about talking care of ferals and strays these cold winter months. Matt and I both got very sick  before Christmas, I haven’t been that sick in years, some kind of upper respiratory infection I think. It wasn’t easy cooking on Christmas eve but my […]

Here’s a recap of the best instagrams of last week. If you want the day to day follow me here! Over the weekend we celebrated my Mom’s birthday (Happy Birthday Flo!). A tradition of ours at the party is to make gingerbread houses with the kids but these things are impossible to put together – even for an adult! Next year we decided to break tradition for the sake of our sanity. Instead we’ll bake cookies in advance and have the kids decorate them. We actually had two birthdays this week! […]

Here’s a recap of the best instagrams of last week. If you want the day to day follow me here! John always looks soulful and contemplative. I assure you he is also a very happy cat. He’s just getting ready for a nap in this picture. He also loves the Christmas blanket (as do I!) I’m making soup at least once a week. This is Matt’s fav – Lentil soup with spinach and carrots. I used my Grandmother Mary’s pot as I often do. I’ve been spending a lot of […]

Here’s a recap of the best instagrams of last week. If you want the day to day follow me here! Busy week! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Somehow I don’t have any Thanksgiving food pictures??? Above is Grandma Walsh’s beautiful blue glass hanging fixture. Throughout the whole renovation I’ve thought this and here’s another example of why people buy new things – new houses, new doors, new molding, new furniture, new fixtures… because it’s a lot of work to refurbish the old. Like really a lot of work. […]
